Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi je ámár práńeri diipak
Álo d́hálo apalak
Ámár manane bhávaspandane
Susmita campak

Dúr theke ese dúre cale jái
Tumi cháŕá mor keha sáthii nái
Báhire ghare tomáke káche cái
He cira veńuvádak

Cumbak sama t́ánite jáno
Háráno hiyáke nikat́e áno
Maner gopan sab kathá jáno
Aiṋjane raiṋjak

You're the lamp of my life;
You pour out a steady light.
In my thinking, pulse of thought,
The champak flower with sweet smile.

Come from afar, I go off someplace distant;
Except for You none is my associate.
Abroad and at home, I want You proximate,
Hey, the ceaseless player of a reed pipe.

To pull like a magnet do You know;
The lost heart, You fetch it close.
You know inner thoughts and all that's spoke,
The dye inside of stibnite.
