Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Mor manonikuiṋje ájike tumi ele
Ele
Shuśka maruke shyámal karile
Kuiṋja racile

Suśamár samáhár tumi bandhu
Priitimamatáy bhará sudhásindhu
Ahetukii krpáy snigdha karuńáy
Jáhá bhávi nái táhá kariyáchile

Triloke tomár kona nái tulaná
Tridashe dviitiya hena keu mele ná
Tumi sarváshray shántinilay
Giitir abhisáre dyuti ánile

Today You came into the arbor of my psyche;
You appeared.
An arid desert You made green;
You built a grove thick with trees.

Oh Abiding Friend, You are beauty's collection–
Ambrosia's ocean, full of love and affection.
With an unearned kindness and compassion cordial,
You had done that which I don't conceive.

In the three worlds[nb 2] there is none equivalent;
Like unto a second God, no one else extends.
You are the abode of peace, the shelter universal;
By a love tryst of song, splendor You did bring.
