Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kata vitandra vibhávarii tomári tare
Ket́eche ámár prabhu ket́eche ámár
Kata tamasámayii nishá
D́hekeche ámáy áṋdháre durnivár

Áṋkhipallava mor sikta ashruniire
Pathahárá pathiker ákul háhákáre
Ekbáro priiti bhare ele ná ámár ghare
Shune tháki tumi ápanár

Ná eleo kśati nái mana májhe jena pái
Ámár bhuvane tumi cháŕá ár keha nái
Páro to manane ese madhur mohan hese
Bale jáo ámi tomár

For just Your sake many a sleepless night
Mine has transpired, Lord, mine has gone by.
Nights aplenty filled with gloom
Have wrapped me in absence of light.

From tears my eyelids, they are drenched,
By a lost wayfarer's wails distressed.
Not even once again came You to my residence,
But I keep hearing You are mine.

Though came not, no harm is there if I get amid psyche;
In my world there's no one else but Thee.
Having come in reverie and smiled sweetly charming,
Please go on saying: "I am thine."
