Álo niye eso práńe práńe mesho
Sabe adhiir ágrahe tava ásá-patha cáhe
Mrdu hese marme baso

Kata jug ket́e geche áṋdhár e dhará pare
Bhayál bhrukut́i kata ághát heneche táre
Raktakśayii rańe jujheche báre báre
Priiti mamatáy udbháso

Ár nay ogo prabhu anek liilá karecho
Liilár mádhurii niye ájo kena dúre ácho
Nandana candane kuliishe kena d́hekecho
Jadi sabe bhálabáso

আলো নিয়ে এসো প্রাণে প্রাণে মেশো
সবে অধীর আগ্রহে তব আসা-পথ চাহে
মৃদু হেসে' মর্মে বসো

কত যুগ কেটে' গেছে আঁধার এ ধরা 'পরে
ভয়াল ভ্রুকূটি কত আঘাত হেনেছে তারে
রক্তক্ষয়ী রণে যুঝেছে বারে বারে
প্রীতি-মমতায় উদ্ভাসো

আর নয় ওগো প্রভু অনেক লীলা করেছো
লীলার মাধুরী নিয়ে আজও কেন দূরে আছো
নন্দন-চন্দনে কুলীশে কেন ঢেকেছো
যদি সবে ভালবাসো

To this same gloomy earth,
Bringing light, please come; mingle with every heart.
Earnest and anxious, all watch Your path of advent;
At core please be seated, smiling sweet and soft.

This dark earth, on it have passed many ages;
By many fearsome scowls it has been wounded.
Time and again in warfare bloody it has contended;
Now please radiate love and affection.

No more, Lord, Sport You've done quite enough;
With sweetness of Liila, why are You still so far off?
By lightning have You hidden sandalwood for what reason,
When You cherish everyone.
