Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Dyuloker dundubhi beje ut́heche
Aruń eseche niye nava práń
Púrvácale ráuṋá kishale
Jiivan bhese cale bhare dite gán

Diirgha amar tamasá sareche
Jiivaner váńii dike dike chut́eche
Supta gańacetaná jege ut́heche
Jyotimaiṋjiire áji abhii amlán

Nei ekaker kona abhimán ájike
Sabái sabáre niye cale pulake
Bháśá bhare dite jata múka mukhe
Amrtakuńd́e kare álokasnán

Heaven's bugle has begun sounding;
The sun has come with new vigor.
Upon eastern mountain,[nb 2] with reddish, tender leaves,
Life goes on flowing, to fill with song.

Removed has been the long gloom unending;
Sped in each direction has life's tidings–
Dormant social consciousness has risen, awaking
With anklets of light now, without fear or hesitation.

Today there is no lone doer's vanity;
Everyone moves joyously with everybody...
All mute mouths to fill with speech,
A lake of ambrosia having bathed in splendor.
