Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bakulviithite se sheś jáminite
Keu chilo náko tumi cháŕá
Lukiye gahane sonáli svapane
Tomáy dekhinu he álojhará

Mana deul mor shúńyatáy gherá
Vijane paŕechilo nihsvatama kárá
Tomáre dekhinu palake bujhinu
E jáme tamasá habe hárá

Báhir prakrtite aruńoday halo
Maner keká mor nece' chut́e elo
Báhire bhitare he priya tava tare
Pramá dekhá dilo priitibhará

O Lord, on the path within bakul flower trees,
towards the end of the night,
there was no one other than You.
O the effulgent, You were hidden
in depth of the golden dream,
I could not see You.
My mental temple was surrounded by vacuity.
The dark prison was calm lying in solitude.
I could see and recognize You in a moment,
and the darkness of the night was lost.
Outside in the nature, sunrise occurred,
and my mental peacock's call
came rushing, dancing.
O Dear, for You, inside and outside
true knowledge, full of love was shown.
