Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áshár pradiip niye háte
Tumi esechile prabhu amá ráte
Pathaháráke diip dekháite
Nikaśa krśńa chilo dhará
Tava áloke halo bhará
Ek palaker iuṋgite

Shánta samáhita dharátal
Práńaspandane halo caiṋcal
Bhálabásá bhará bháve ucchal
Cidábháse halo cakite

Sei hate tumi ácho sáthe sáthe
Ańu paramáńu tryasareńute
Otaprotajoge jiivanadharáte
Madhuniśyanda srote

The light of hope in hand taking,
On a new-moon night, Lord, You'd appeared,
For those who had strayed a lamp to make see.
Pitch dark had been the earth;
It got filled with luster Yours,
By a moment's beckoning.

Earth's surface, still and pacified;
It became restless, throbbing with life...
Full of love, with thoughts spry,
It expressed consciousness instantly.

To be that only, ever You accompany
Molecule and atom, lit dust motes floating
On the current of existence, all-pervasively
With the stream exuding honey.
