Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Apsarár sáje calecho kár káje
Tomáke cái ámi jiivane
Práńe mane eso otaprote mesho
Tumi cháŕá ke áche e bhuvane

Kena dúre ácho eso áro káche
Mor viinár táre tava váńii báje
Alakha rájá mor cetanádyuti ghor
Shravańe manane nididhyásane

Din cale jáy baláká pákháy
Phele rekhe jáy smrtimálikáy
Sádhaná shreya mor priiti phulad́or
Ásá jáoyá tháká tava carańe

In clothes of divine nymph You've moved by whose deeds;
Within my life I yearn for Thee.
Kindly arrive, with heart and mind thoroughly mingle;
In this world, except You who is there?

Why are You remote, please do appear still more near;
Your message plays on my lyre strings.
Oh King Unseen, the dense luster of my consciousness,
It's in listening, cogitation, and often, deep reverie.

Like a flight of geese on wing, the days depart;
Behind they leave memory's tiny garland.
Holy effort, ultimate salvation, my love's floral thread–
Coming, going, staying– are at Your sacred feet.
