Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi je ámár (Kata ápanár)
Áge jánini áj jenechi
Káche káche chile dúre sare gele
Marmamájháre dhare rekhechi

Hima shiitalatá chilo mor práńe
Jiivanii agni tumi dile ene
Práńer pradiipe shiite uttápe
Uśńa átape smrti bharechi

Ájo dúre nao ogo mor prabhu
Ámi bhulileo bholo náko kabhu
Asiimer májhe je ańut́i ráje
Sei ámi tava krpá bujhechi

You're the one who is mine, so much my own;
Before I did not know, today I've recognized.
You had been very close, but remote You went;
Held amid core of heart, kept have I.

In my heart had been an icy coldness;
Life-giving fire You let be fetched.
By a vital lamp with heat in winter,
I have filled memory with warm sunshine.

Still today You're not away, oh my Lord;
Even though I'm forgetful You never ignore.
The microcosmic resides amidst the Limitless;
That same 'I' is Your grace, I have realized.
