Tomáy ámi bhálabási
Tomár námei káṋdi hási
Ráká ráter jyotsnáráshi
Bháve bharáo alakśyete

থাকিবে না যদি প্রিয়
কেন এলে মন ভোলাতে
ব্যথাহত চিত্তে আমার
নিরাশা জাগিয়ে দিতে

ছিলুম কুয়াশাতে ভরা
স্বসৃষ্ট পরিধি ঘেরা
বাণীহারা জড়াক্ষরা
বিকাশেরই সূত্রপাতে

তোমায় আমি ভালবাসি
তোমার নামেই কাঁদি হাসি
রাকা রাতের জ্যোৎস্নারাশি
ভাবে ভরাও অলক্ষ্যেতে

In my psyche pain-impaired,
To bestir despondency?

With mist had I been filled,
Ringed by a self-created girth.
Bereft of speech, inertia's letters,
Ruined was the thread of my blossoming.

It is Yourself that I prize;
At just Your name, I weep, I smile.
Dawn's full moon,[nb 2] night's heap of moonlight,
You infuse with ideation from a place unseen.
