Shata d́ákileo sáŕá dáoni
(Gáne gáne sheśe) Dolá dile (tumi)
Nirvák chile aniti acale
Chande o tále káche ele

Se doláy tava bhuvan mátále
Nihspand dehe práń bharile
Rúper mekhalá sájáiyá dile
Ákáshe vátáse nabhoniile

Ekbár ese phiriyá jáoni
Sádher dharáre cháŕite pároni
Marmer májhe madhurimá áni
Theke gele táte pratipale

শত ডাকিলেও সাড়া দাওনি
(গানে গানে শেষে) দোলা দিলে (তুমি)
নির্বাক ছিলে অনিতি অচলে
ছন্দে ও তালে কাছে এলে

সে দোলায় তব ভুবন মাতালে
নিঃস্পন্দ দেহে প্রাণ ভরিলে
রূপের মেখলা সাজাইয়া দিলে
আকাশে বাতাসে নভোনীলে

একবার এসে' ফিরিয়া যাওনি
সাধের ধরারে ছাড়িতে পারোনি
মর্মের মাঝে মধুরিমা আনি'
থেকে গেলে তাতে প্রতিপলে

Even having called a hundred times, You did not reply;
After many a song, You accorded a swing.
Speechless had You become, unmoved unchangingly;
But through cadence and beat You came near.

By that swing of Yours, the earth You excited greatly;
Life You infused into an inert body.
You arrayed with a girdle of beauty,
With sky and air in hues ultramarine.

Once having come, You were not going away;
Willingly the world You could not forsake.
Bringing a sweetness mid heart's nave,
Therein every moment You went on staying.
