Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Prabhu tumi eso mor manane baso
Dhyáne tomáy pete ceyechi
Tomári nám niye tomári dhárá beye
Tomári káj kare calechi

Alakhaniraiṋjan tumi priya
Mane práńe barańiiya
Átmári paramátmiiya
Tomári bháve bhare rayechi

Jiivan áse jáy indradhanu práy
Kata kii jhalakáy palake múracháy
Madhu malaya váy nandita cháy
Tomári májhe náce metechi

Lord, You please come, sit within my cogitation;
In meditation Yourself have I yearned to receive.
Taking just Your name, rowing o'er just Your flow,
I've gone on doing just Your deeds.

Unseen and unblemished, You are cherished–
By both mind and heart, worthy to be worshiped.
My own soul's closest kin,
On just Your implication I've stayed replete.

Life comes and goes, resembling a rainbow;
So many things that glow, they all swoon in a mo'.
The sweet and mild breeze, the pleasant shadow–
By a dance amid You only I have gone crazy.
