Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kamalkali bale prabhu mor
Kumud kalháre je priitid́or
Racaná karo sarovare
Tár nái tulaná tár nái tulaná
Aliguiṋjane prabhaiṋjane
Sájále já tumi ánamane
Se nay chalaná se nay chalaná

Prabháte álo d́hele diyecho
Sandhyáráger rauṋe ráuṋiyecho
Nrtyer tále tále mandánile
Sab kichu dile nije ele ná

Bhuvan cheye tava máyár khelá
Jiivan beye álo cháyár melá
Tumi ácho ámi áchi sár jenechi
E jánáy áche cira sántvaná

A lotus bud says: "My Lord,
In stalk's blooming necklace is the thread of love
You create with a lake.
This has no comparison, its equal is not there.
In the bee's buzzing and in gale,
Absentmindedly, what You did decorate,
Oh it is not a fraud, it's not deceit.

"Upon the morn You've lavished light;
With evening's colors You have dyed.
To many a dance beat, to a wind sweetly tame,
Everything You gave, though came not personally.

"Spread across the world is Your maya's merrymaking;
Life consists of light and shade's assembly.
You exist and I exist, it's the gist I have known;
In this knowledge is a solace everlasting."
