Bujhi ná eki riiti
Ashruplávane pái mane mane
Eo ki priiti

Jiivan bahiyá jáy shatadru shatadhár
Ulká vajra giri rodhe ná gati táhár
Tumi cháŕá keu ár tháke ná sumukhe tár
Tumi táre jogáo druti

Viśád harśa tár haye jáy ekákár
Manomaiṋjuśá májhe tháke ná kona vikár
Niiháriká ár niiháráńu tháke ná vicár
Eke mele anek giiti

যে তোমারে চেয়েছে সেই কেঁদেছে
বুঝি না একি রীতি
অশ্রুপ্লাবনে পাই মনে মনে
এও কি প্রীতি

জীবন বহিয়া যায় শতদ্রু শতধার
উল্কা-বজ্র-গিরি রোধে না গতি তাহার
তুমি ছাড়া কেউ আর থাকে না সুমুখে তার
তুমি তারে যোগাও দ্রুতি

বিষাদ-হর্ষ তার হয়ে যায় একাকার
মনোমঞ্জুষা মাঝে থাকে না কোন বিকার
নীহারিকা আর নীহারাণু থাকে না বিচার
একে মেলে অনেক গীতি

Who has longed for You, only they have wept;
I don't comprehend such amazing method.
Through a flood of tears, Yourself inwardly we get;
This too, is it love?

Life goes on flowing, a Sutlej River with hundred streams;
Meteor, thunderbolt, and mountain don't hinder its going.
Except for You, none else remains at its lead;
To it You provide rapid motion.

Its sorrow and joy, jumbled they go on becoming;
In the jewelbox of psyche, no distortion perseveres.
Nebula or drop of dew, there remains no study;
Merged into one, the many songs.
