Jata kichu phele ásá
Jata kichu káṋdá hásá
Cáoyá-páoyári gahane

Anuráge jválá diipe
Surabhita málá dhúpe
Antaraloke vijane

এসো হতাশায় ভরা জীবনে
মন্দ মধুর পবনে
নৃত্যে ছন্দে রাগে
ফাগুনের রাঙা ফাগে
চেতনার অধিরোহণে

যত কিছু ফেলে আসা
যত কিছু কাঁদা-হাসা
চাওয়া-পাওয়ারই গহনে

অনুরাগে জ্বালা দীপে
সুরভিত মালা ধূপে
অন্তরলোকে বিজনে

In a life filled with despair please appear,
On a sweet and gentle breeze.
In cadence to raga through dancing,
With Phalgun month's red abeer,
With rise of sensibility...

Everything is discarded–
Any and all tears and laughter
At depths of my craving-and-gaining...

Beneath the lantern lit by liking,
Is a resin-scented wreath
From a forlorn inner sphere...
