Shukti kuŕái eká eká
Ákáshe tárá jvale jhalamale
Ceye dekhe niiháriká

Mana májhe áse kata bhávaná
Atiiter kata kathá kata chalaná
Háriyeche tárá kothá keu jáne ná
Hayto bá nabhe áche áṋká

Bhávanár mor kona sheś nái
Áse jáy phele more eklái
Táito tomáy káche pete cái
Kálákál bhule keṋde d́áká

এই জীবনসৈকতে আমি
শুক্তি কুড়াই একা একা
আকাশে তারা জ্বলে ঝলমলে
চেয়ে দেখে নীহারিকা

মন মাঝে আসে কত ভাবনা
অতীতের কত কথা কত ছলনা
হারিয়েছে তারা কোথা কেউ জানে না
হয়তো বা নভে আছে আঁকা

ভাবনার মোর কোন শেষ নাই
আসে যায় ফেলে' মোরে একলাই
তাইতো তোমায় কাছে পেতে চাই
কালাকাল ভুলে' কেঁদে' ডাকা

I, on this sandy beach of life,
Nacre unaccompanied I reap.
On the sky a star coruscates;
The nebula darts a peek.

Many thoughts come within psyche:
Many facts of past and much deceit.
None knows whereto they've gone missing;
Maybe etched are they on a realm heavenly.

There is no end of reflections mine;
They come and go, throwing me lonely aside.
And so Yourself I yearn to receive nigh,
Good and bad times, the tearful cries, forgetting.
