Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

E shárada sandhyá náce madhuchandá
Ceye áche tomári páne
Shephálii suváse shukla megheri váse
Kii se cáy kei bá jáne

Pratham súrjoday kabe halo ke jáne
Sheś súrjásta nei káro anumáne
Tumi sab kichu jáno sabáre satata t́áno
E sandhyá se kathá máne

Dáo parábhakti sei anurakti
Jár bale pete pári he prabhu vimukti
Sandhyá raktaráge shepháliir anuráge
E karuńá jáci carańe

This autumn evening dances to a sweet cadence;
It is looking in but Your direction.
With fragrance of night jasmine in the white-cloud habitation,
Does anyone know what she yearns for?

Who knows when had been the first sunup;
The last sunset, none has in supposition.
You know everything, everyone You attract;
This evening, that fact it honors.

You bestow supreme devotion, that same tendency
By which strength, oh Lord, we can get totally free.
On even's crimson glow, with night-jasmine affection,
At Your feet I beg this compassion.
