Báṋdhan chiṋŕe beriye elum
Kabe kena ke jáne
Ke jáne go ke jáne
Ke jáne konkháne
Kon máyáy cáoyá páoyáy
Cáini kona mukhapáne

Shuńiniko káro anurodh
Mánini kono pratirodh
Keu baleche matta abodh
Tulini se kathá práńe
Ánini tá manane

Kśudra diye brhat pelum
Rtera nágarik halum
Páoná sabi bhásiye dilum
Vishvapráńer ujáne
Prati paler prasúne

বাঁধন ছিঁড়ে' বেরিয়ে এলুম
কবে কেন কে জানে
কে জানে গো কে জানে
কে জানে কোনখানে
কোন মায়ায় চাওয়া-পাওয়ায়
চাইনি কোন মুখপানে

শুণিনিকো কারো অনুরোধ
মানিনি কোনো প্রতিরোধ
কেউ বলেছে মত্ত অবোধ
তুলিনি সে কথা প্রাণে
আনিনি তা মননে

ক্ষুদ্র দিয়ে বৃহৎ পেলুম
ঋতের নাগরিক হলুম
পাওনা সবই ভাসিয়ে দিলুম
বিশ্বপ্রাণের উজানে
প্রতি পলের প্রসূনে

Tearing chains apart, out I came;
Who's aware of when and why?
Oh who knows, who does realize,
Anywhere, does anyone recognize?
By some magic in regard to want-and-gain,
I looked not at any face.

I listened not to the plea of anybody;
No obstruction did I heed.
Those who've said "foolish and frenzied",
I did not take that talk to heart;
I did not pay it any mind.

By paltry means I obtained the Great;
A resident of Truth I became.
All that I'm due I let float away
Upon the cosmic soul's high tide,
In the bud of every trice.
