Kabhu tákáo kabhu bhule jáo
Liilá bheve múk haye jái

Nidágher snigdha belá máliká
Varaśári rase sikta júthiká
Sharat sáṋjhe smita shepháliká
Kena áno uttar náhi pái

Hemanteri mlán suśamáy
Shiiter sháńita kampra jaŕatáy
Vasanteri puśpashobháy
Kii je bale jáo shudhu bhávi tái

কী চাও বুঝিতে পারি নাই
কভু তাকাও কভু ভুলে' যাও
লীলা ভেবে' মূক হয়ে যাই

নিদাঘের স্নিগ্ধ বেলা মালিকা
বরষারই রসে সিক্ত যূথিকা
শরৎ সাঁঝে স্মিত শেফালিকা
কেন আনো উত্তর নাহি পাই

হেমন্তেরই ম্লান সুষমায়
শীতের শাণিত কম্প্র জড়তায়
বসন্তেরই পুষ্পশোভায়
কী যে বলে' যাও শুধু ভাবি তাই

Sometimes You make cry, sometimes laugh You cause;
What You fancy, I can't comprehend.
Sometimes You observe, other times You ignore;
Having pondered liila, I go on, become speechless.

Summer's bracing jui garland,
Juthika wetted by monsoon exudation,
And the night jasmine smiling upon dusk of Autumn,
Why You bring; the answer I don't get.

By the pre-winter's pallid-pleasant quality,
By wintry inertia honed and quivering,
By the springtime's floral beauty;
What You keep telling, that I only guess.
