Práńer áveg bhará priitir uśńatá jhará
Ke go tumi ele áji ámári mane
Cinite párini bujhite párini
Udvel haye gechi kena jánine

Kakhano dekhi nái kakhano shuni nái
Eta káche pábo táhá svapneo bhávi nái
Bháśár atiita tiire álor sudhásáyare
Ámáre mátiye dile chande gáne

Buddhite bujhi náko kii je tumi kare jáo
Liilár pare liiláte kena jiivere nácáo
Tumi tarkátiita rúpamájhe rúpátiita
Hrdaye madhuráloke háso[nb 2] dhyáne

প্রাণের আবেগ ভরা প্রীতির উষ্ণতা ঝরা
কে গো তুমি এলে আজই আমারই মনে
চিনিতে পারিনি বুঝিতে পারিনি
উদ্বেল হয়ে গেছি কেন জানিনে

কখনো দেখি নাই কখনো শুনি নাই
এত কাছে পাব তাহা স্বপ্নেও ভাবি নাই
ভাষার অতীত তীরে আলোর সুধাসায়রে
আমারে মাতিয়ে দিলে ছন্দে গানে

বুদ্ধিতে বুঝি নাকো কী যে তুমি করে' যাও
লীলার পরে লীলাতে কেন জীবেরে নাচাও
তুমি তর্কাতীত রূপমাঝে রূপাতীত
হৃদয়ে মধুরালোকে হাসো ধ্যানে

Full of vital passion, exuding warmth of love,
Oh Who are You that came today into my mind?
I could not recognize, I could not understand;
Effusive I've become, but I don't know why.

Never did I see, never did I hear;
Even in dream I don't think that it I'll get so near.
Past the limit of language, upon nectar's sea of light,
Through rhythm and song, myself You did excite.

What You keep doing, through intellect I don't grasp;
By game after game why make creatures dance?
You are beyond logic– amid form, form-transcendent;
In the heart with luster sweet, in meditation You smile.
