Parábo baliyá sauṋge enechi
Jhará bakulete gánthá málá
Priitir sútre racaná karechi
Sárá din ekelá

E bakul mor jiivaner sár
E bakule saorabh áche apár
Párile paráte jágibe táháte
Madhumilaner dolá

Je doláte dhará dole anukśań
Je doláte spandita je tapan
Je dolá sparshe miláy nimeśe
Sab ná páoyár jválá

পরাব বলিয়া সঙ্গে এনেছি
ঝরা বকুলেতে গাঁথা মালা
প্রীতির সূত্রে রচনা করেছি
সারা দিন একেলা

এ বকুল মোর জীবনের সার
এ বকুলে সৌরভ আছে অপার
পারিলে পরাতে জাগিবে তাহাতে
মধুমিলনের দোলা

যে দোলাতে ধরা দোলে অনুক্ষণ
যে দোলাতে স্পন্দিত যে তপন
যে দোলা-স্পর্শে মিলায় নিমেষে
সব না-পাওয়ার জ্বালা

Saying "I'll make wear", with me I have brought
A wreath threaded with the medlars shed.
I have composed it on a string of love,
The whole day unattended.

This medlar is my life's essence;
In this medlar is fragrance immense.
If able to make wear, by that it will bestir
The swing of a sweet love-tryst.

On that swing the earth sways every minute;
On that swing pulsating, the sun.
At the touch of that swing in a wink vanishes
All pangs of non-attainment.
