Bhálabáso jadi kena niravadhi
Dúre theke háso kathá bháśo ná

Pulake pulake pratit́i palake
Káche pete cái alakha áloke
Sabi tumi jáno jene náhi shono
Jena kona kichu bujhite páro ná

Ámár vasudhá tomáte háráy
Ámár jata sudhá tomá páne dháy
Kena ná tákáo sáŕá náhi dáo
Dúre theke jáo kena balo ná

নয়নে রেখেছ কেন আস না
ভালবাস যদি কেন নিরবধি
দূরে থেকে হাস কথা ভাষো না

পুলকে পুলকে প্রতিটি পলকে
কাছে পেতে চাই অলখ আলোকে
সবই তুমি জান জেনে নাহি শোন
যেন কোন কিছু বুঝিতে পারো না

আমার বসুধা তোমাতে হারায়
আমার যত সুধা তোমা পানে ধায়
কেন না তাকাও সাড়া নাহি দাও
দূরে থেকে যাও কেন বলো না

You have kept watch over me, why do You come not?
If indeed You hold dear, why then endlessly
Smile from remote, but a word utter not?

With goose bumps aplenty every blink of eye,
To get close I desire; I want the Unseen Light;
You know everything, but knowingly You don't hear,
As if to fathom anything You cannot.

Within You my earth, it is lost;
All of my nectar, race toward You it does.
Why do You not see; why don't You answer me?
Pray tell why You go off and stay yon.
