Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Mama) Mánasa mádhavii kuiṋje shyám
Tomáre cái je satata
Kare jái tava anudhyán (ámi)
Man mor tomáte nirata

Cita jamuná pulake uchale
Tava bhávanáy pláviyá dukúle
Eká nirajane shuni mane mane
Ke jena kahiche kathá kata

Ár kona bhávaná man máne ná
Tomár kathái bheve jáy náná
Bháver gokule bhule giye kúle
Anubhúti bháse shata shata

Krishna, in my myrtle grove of mind,
I long for You constantly.
I go on performing recollection Thine;
My mind is engrossed in Thee.

Heart's Jamuna swells with horripilation;
Flooding the two banks with Your contemplation.
Inwardly I hear, alone in isolation,
As if Who is narrating many a story?

Any other thoughts the mind fails to acknowledge;
It keeps thinking of only Your tales multifarious.
In fancy's Gokul, on a shore forgotten,
Rise hundreds of introspections sensory.
