Nisháy tamasá áse cheye

Jáni bujhi ámi nai ekelá
Dharite ná peye hai utalá
Vistrta ei ságara belá
Manke bhulái gán geye

Áshá vijaŕita áṋkhitárá mor
Tava bhávanáy rayeche vibhor
Cidákáshe bháse citta cakor
Sambodhir eśańá niye

জেগে' আছি জেগে' আছি
জেগে' আছি তব পথ চেয়ে
দিন কেটে' যায় আতপ জ্বালায়
নিশায় তমসা আসে ছেয়ে

জানি বুঝি আমি নই একেলা
ধরিতে না পেয়ে হই উতলা
বিস্তৃত এই সাগর বেলা
মনকে ভুলাই গান গেয়ে

আশা-বিজড়িত আঁখিতারা মোর
তব ভাবনায় রয়েছে বিভোর
চিদাকাশে ভাসে চিত্ত চকোর
সম্বোধির এষণা নিয়ে

Day passes by under sunshine's burning pain;
At night a gloomy darkness comes over me.

I know, I realize: I'm not alone without support;
But unable to hold, I grow anxious.
Stretching out is this same ocean-shore;
Psyche I make ignore by singing.

Pupils of my eyes are entwined with expectation;
In the thought of You they have stayed absorbed.
On psychic sky a mental chukor soars
With enlightenment's yearning.
