Gan geye gechi, sur sedhe gechi is the 3010th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gán geye gechi
Sur sedhe gechi
Tomáke shonáte ceyechi
Tomáke je bhálo besechi

Áloker loke tumi ácho
Áṋdháre lukiye rayecho
Sauṋge sauṋge theke gecho
Ekathá bujhe niyechi

Kśudhár anna jugiyecho
Mamatáy klesh bhuliyecho
Shoke sántvaná diyecho
Tomáke bhule kii kare báṋci

A song I've gone on singing;
I've rehearsed a melody.
I've wanted to make You hear
That I have held You dear.

You are there in sphere of light;
You've been hid, the darkness by.
But You've remained ever nigh;
This fact I have conceived.

You've provided hunger's rice;[nb 2]
Misery by sympathy You've wiped from mind.
In sorrow solace You've supplied;
How do I survive forgetting Thee?

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ Anna is rice that is boiled and ready to eat. But as a staple diet, it has also come to mean any foodstuff.
