Eso priya ámári májhe
Vatás ekhan mádhurii mákhá
Tomári núpur mane báje

Citi jamunár ujáne bay
Náhi máne samay asamay
Tava bhávanáy udvela hay
Cáy tomáre mohana sáje

Kalápe álápe shikhii nece jáy
Dekhe ghana megh ákásheri gáy
Se kalápe citte dolá jágáy
Tomáre jáce áro káche

এসো প্রিয় আমারই মাঝে
বাতাস এখন মাধুরী মাখা
তোমারই নূপুর মনে বাজে

চিতি যমুনার উজানে বয়
নাহি মানে সময় অসময়
তব ভাবনায় উদ্বেল হয়
চায় তোমারে মোহন সাজে

কলাপে আলাপে শিখী নেচে যায়
দেখে ঘন মেঘ আকাশেরই গায়
সে কলাপে চিত্তে দোলা জাগায়
তোমারে যাচে আরো কাছে

Darling, inside me please arrive–
Now the air is coated with sweetness;
Only Your ankle bells echo in the mind.

The psychic Jamuna flows upstream;
Times good or bad it does not heed.
Upon Your contemplation it is overflowing;
It longs for You in captivating attire.

With fantail a-greeting, the peacock goes on dancing;
Having seen sky's cirrostratus he does sing.
By that fantail wakens a swaying to and fro in psyche;
It implores You to become still more nigh.
