Bhálo hato jadi ná cinitám
Tomáke bhálo ná básitám
Maner gahane ámár bhuvane
Tomáke ásite náhi ditám

Bhálabesechi ogo priyatama
Drŕha bháve bujhiyáchi tumi mama
Áj bhávi tái ki bháve sarábo
Bháloke dobo ki manda nám

Ámár ákáshe tumi eki vidhu
Aganita tárá náme áche shudhu
Tárá dúre ják mor vidhu thák
Marmer kathá bale dilám

ভালো হ’ত যদি না চিনিতাম
তোমাকে ভালো না বাসিতাম
মনের গহনে আমার ভুবনে
তোমাকে আসিতে নাহি দিতাম

ভালবেসেছি ওগো প্রিয়তম
দৃঢ় ভাবে বুঝিয়াছি তুমি মম
আজ ভাবি তাই কি ভাবে সরাব
ভালোকে দোব কি মন্দ নাম

আমার আকাশে তুমি একই বিধু
অগণিত তারা নামে আছে শুধু
তারা দূরে যাক মোর বিধু থাক
মর্মের কথা বলে’ দিলাম

Good would it have been if we had not got acquainted;
Yourself I would not have loved.
In the depths of psyche, in this world of mine,
I would not have let You enter.

I have cherished You, oh the Most Beloved;
And You're mine, I'm fathoming with a staunch conviction.
Today I wonder: From that creed shall I withdraw;
Will I give to what is good an evil designation?

You're the one and only moon upon my firmament;
In name only countless stars exist.
Let the stars go far and my moon persist;
There, I let it be spoken: my innermost secret.
