Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ákáshe cáṋd je háse phágun máse
E vasanta váy
Kalirá lajjá bhule' áṋkhi tule'
Kon suhrde cáy

Bale' jáy káche eso
Bhálabese' páshe baso
Malaya háoyáy jhaḿkrta páy
Bhulo ná maiṋjula hiyáy

Kata jojan dúre ácho
Jánte ná cái mane rayecho
Manamukure heri tomáre
Shaśpacháyáy smita cetanáy

On sky at this month of Phagun, the moon smiles,
In this springtime wind.
Buds having forgot shame, having lifted eyes,
Which constant ally do they wish?

They go on saying: "Kindly, do come near;
Take seat alongside, lovingly.
Under a vernal breeze, with feet ajingle,
From Your heart agreeable don't dismiss.

"How many miles remote You be,
We don't want to know, as You have dwelt in psyche.
Yourself we behold on looking glass of mind,
With blooming consciousness like tender-grassy specter."
