Tomare ceyechi mane prane ami is the 1612th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre ceyechi mane práńe ámi
Sárá sattár arghyate
Niviŕ[nb 2] nishiithe álo jhará práte
Sure o chande rágete

Hárávár mor kona kichu nái
Sab vinimaye tomákei cái
Ámár ákuti marmera giiti
Puśpita hay tomáte

Bhulechilum tomáy etadin
Jaŕabandhane chinu jaŕe liin
Antar páne ná cáhiyá shudhu
Ceye gechi báhirete

O lord,
in dense nights,
and illuminated mornings,
with melodious tunes and rhythms,
I long for you with heart and soul,
and offer unto you my whole existence.

I have nothing left to lose.
I want you in exchange for my all.
My sincerity and heartfelt song bloom within you.

I had forgotten you.
Bound by matter,
I had remained immersed in physicality.
I never probed inside,
but desired only external enjoyment.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the audio rendition, the word gabhiir is sung in place of niviŕ, as found in the original sargam and the latest Bengali text.[1] In context, the two words are similar in meaning.
