I did not imagine, that You would come this time
I could not believe You will come again
into my small leaf thatched hut.
Unto this thatched hut trifling.
I only continued calling, keeping hope,
I've simply gone on calling, kept retaining hope;
with only tearful eyes.
Only by tears am I holding dear.
What You go on doing is not possible to understand,

what exists is not really that
What You go on doing, it can't be fathomed;
and what remains that too is lost.
What was not exists, and what was once gets lost.
High mountains get merged into dust.
A lofty mountain dissolves into dust,
And within atom whole cosmos is held.
In bosom of an atom, along stream of Supreme.
Your divine game goes on in light and darkness,

what a game of the charming melody of Your flute?
In darkness and light proceeds Your [[:wikipedia:Lila (Hinduism)|cosmic play]];
You have poured out the bouquet full of love,
With bewitching flute what is the melodic game?
to each and every human beings and each home.
You're doling out a love-filled tray
Inside each home to every human being.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Bhávite párini (ámi)) ásbe ábár
Kśudra e parńakut́ire
Shudhu d́eke gechi áshá rekhe gechi
Shudhu bhásiyáchi áṋkhiniire

Kii je kare jáo bojhá náhi jáy
Já chilo ná hay já chilo háráy
Tuṋgagiri dhúláy mishe jáy
Ańu buke dhare bhúmádháre

Áṋdháre áloke cale tava liilá
Mohana báṋshite kii surer khelá
D́háliyá diyácho priitibhará d́álá
Jane jane prati ghare ghare

I could not believe You will come again
Unto this thatched hut trifling.
I've simply gone on calling, kept retaining hope;
Only by tears am I holding dear.

What You go on doing, it can't be fathomed;
What was not exists, and what was once gets lost.
A lofty mountain dissolves into dust,
In bosom of an atom, along stream of Supreme.

In darkness and light proceeds Your cosmic play;
With bewitching flute what is the melodic game?
You're doling out a love-filled tray
Inside each home to every human being.
