এসেছিলে তুমি চুপিসারে
মন্ত্রদ্যোতনায় সুপ্ত চেতনায়
জাগিয়ে দিলে মন-মধুকরে

ভুলেছিলে কেন বলো মোরে

তোমারে ভেবে গেছি মনের মধুবনে
দিবসে নিশীথে ছিলুম তব ধ্যানে
কেন আসোনি কেন ভাষোনি
কী লাভ হয়েছিল লীলা করে

দেরিতে হলেও কাছে এসেছ
কথা না বলিলেও মৃদু হেসেছ
নূপুরেরই সুরে ও রাঙা অধরে
বাঁশরী বাজাও প্রীতি ভরে'

O lord, in the moonlit night, with illumination,
you came secretly. with suggestion of mantra,
you awakened the sleeping mental bee of consciousness.
o the distant companion, moon of the blue sky,
why have you forgotten, tell me.
i have continued thinking of you in the mental garden,
remained engrossed in your meditation, day and night.
Why do not you come, why do not you speak,
what is the benefit of continuing the divine game, liila’?
Even after delay, you came close,
even without speaking you smiled softly.
with the melody of ankle bell and coloured lips,
you play your flute full of love.
