O lord, when i saw you,
When I've seen You, then
there was honey in the mango flowers.
There had been nectar in a mango's bud.
the kim’shuk flowers,
A palash bloom with eager hue,
overwhelmed with the colours,
It had looked on, in hope of aroma.
look for expecting the fragrance.

pa’rul and shimul flowers staying together
Parul and shimul, off to one side,
were narrating events in the golden light.
They had spoken of a golden light.
Small bakul flowers were oscillating on the swing
But the tiny bakul has swung crosswise;
and were smiling intoxicated with the fragrance.
It had smiled, perfumed and excited.
after that how much time has passed,

how many nights of mine merged in darkness.
From thenceforward, much time has transpired;
Now in dream, i think mentally,
Mingled with the dark have many nights of mine.
what a sweet day has come.
Now in dream, inwardly ponder I:
What sweet day had come?

Tomare jakhan dekhechi takhan is the 2799th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre jakhan dekhechi takhan
Ámer mukule madhu chilo
Kiḿshuk phul varńe ákul
Gandher áshe ceyechilo

Párul shimul ekpáshe theke
Kathá kayechilo kanakáloke
Kśudra bakul duleche dodul
Surabhite mete hesechilo

Tárpar katakál ket́e geche
Kata nishá mor áṋdháre misheche
Ekhan svapane bhávi mane mane
Kii madhur din esechilo

When I've seen You, then
There had been nectar in a mango's bud.
A palash bloom with eager hue,
It had looked on, in hope of aroma.

Parul and shimul, off to one side,
They had spoken of a golden light.
But the tiny bakul has swung crosswise;
It had smiled, perfumed and excited.

From thenceforward, much time has transpired;
Mingled with the dark have many nights of mine.
Now in dream, inwardly ponder I:
What sweet day had come?
