Tumi ele prabhu ei abeláy
Sárá din dhare d́ekechi tomáre
Duyár khuliyá durásháy

Ámár d́ák ki shunite páo ni
Shuniyáo hayto káne tolo ni
Klántir kole ghumáye paŕile
Sáŕá dile ese tamasáy

Hayto e chilo duráshá ámár
Guń chilo náko tomáke pávár
Krpá bharasáy d́ekechi tomáy
Ele cale gele karuńáy

তুমি এলে প্রভু এই অবেলায়
সারা দিন ধরে’ ডেকেছি তোমারে
দুয়ার খুলিয়া দুরাশায়

আমার ডাক কি শুনিতে পাও নি
শুনিয়াও হয়তো কানে তোল নি
ক্লান্তির কোলে ঘুমায়ে পড়িলে
সাড়া দিলে এসে’ তমসায়

হয়তো এ ছিল দুরাশা আমার
গুণ ছিল নাকো তোমাকে পাবার
কৃপা-ভরসায় ডেকেছি তোমায়
এলে চলে’ গেলে করুণায়

O lord,
You came so untimely.
Whole day continuously,
I had called you, with door opened stubbornly.

Could not you hear my call?
Or even after hearing,
You did not pay any attention.

When tired of whole day,
I slept, being tired in the lap,
Then, you came in darkness.

It may have been my adamancy.
I might not have merit to attain you.
With the hope of your grace, i call you.
Then, mercifully, you came down.
