Matir pradiip jvaliye rekhechi is the 1604th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Mát́ir pradiip jváliye rekhechi
Mát́ir ghare prabhu ájike
Ámár balite kichu nái jagate
Sár shudhu jenechi tomáke

Chilo ná ámár kichu nái je kichu
Chut́echi áshá mariicikári pichu
Cáoyá ár ná cáoyá páoyá ár ná páoyá
Pralápe vilápe káṋdáy ámáke

Tandrá áse pathe mandánile háy
Kusuma surabhi atiiter májhe liin hay
Já dekhechi dunayane já bhevechi ánmane
Sab niye dhará dáo manakorake

O lord,
today, i have kept the earthen lamp kindled
in my muddy house.

There is nothing in the world
that i can call my own.
I know only you as essence.

There is nothing belonging to me,
absolutely nothing.
The mirage of (vain) hope has been left behind.

The tussle of likes and dislikes,
of achievement and loss,
made me cry and weep.

On the path,
the soft breeze brought drowsiness, alas.
The fragrance of flowers has got lost in the past.

Whatever i see with both my eyes,
whatever i think unmindfully,
- with all that -
come into fold,
in the recess of my mind.
