Kon sudúrer sur áji bájalo bájalo
Ákáshe vátáse dolá diye diye
Vishvamánas nece ut́halo ut́halo
Sab bhay láj dúre sariye

Kadambakeshare shiharań jágalo
Betasapuiṋja spandane mátalo
Sikta samiire ketakiireńu callo
Kon ajánáy dheye dheye dheye

Nácer chande shikhii arupke káche pelo
Júthiir gandha alakár dvár khule dilo
Sumanda madhu váyu káńe káńe bale gelo
Ajáná pathik dváre dáṋŕiye dáṋŕiye

কোন্‌ সুদূরের সুর আজি বাজলো বাজলো
আকাশে বাতাসে দোলা দিয়ে দিয়ে
বিশ্বমানস নেচে’ উঠলো উঠলো
সব ভয়-লাজ দূরে সরিয়ে

কদম্বকেশরে শিহরণ জাগলো
বেতসপুঞ্জ স্পন্দনে মাতলো
সিক্ত সমীরে কেতকীরেণু চললো
কোন্‌ অজানায় ধেয়ে ধেয়ে ধেয়ে

নাচের ছন্দে শিখী অরূপকে কাছে পেলো
যূথীর গন্ধ অলকার দ্বার খুলে’ দিলো
সুমন্দ মধু বায়ু কাণে কাণে বলে’ গেলো
অজানা পথিক দ্বারে দাঁড়িয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে

A distant tune came today,
vibrating the sky and the air
of the entire universe.

The unit minds in the world
started dancing,
removing all barriers of fear and shame.

Kadamba flower pollen began to shiver,
cane groves became engrossed in quiver,
a ketakii fragrance absorbed breeze blew,
and rushed unto the unknown.

The peacock started dancing,
finding the rising sun close.

The jasmine fragrance
opened the gates of heaven.

The soft and sweet breeze
whispered into my ears
that the unknown traveler stands at the gate.
