Álpaná diye path sájiye
Rákhiyá diyáchi sarva samay

Sahakár pallav ghat́e rákhiyáchi
Gandha madhubhará phule ghar sájiyechi
Ghrter pradiipe suvásita shikhá jváliyechi
Svágata jánáte jena trut́i náhi ray

Maner mukur-kháni svaccha kariyáchi
Bháver mukul ámi paráge bhariyáchi
Varaśár vátáse bhásibe se hese hese
Tomár parash áshe he giitimay

যদি ভালবাস কেন না কাছে আস
দূরের ভালবাসা ও কিছু নয়
আলপনা দিয়ে পথ সাজিয়ে
রাখিয়া দিয়াছি সর্ব সময়

সহকার পল্লব ঘটে রাখিয়াছি
গন্ধ মধুভরা ফুলে ঘর সাজিয়েছি
ঘৃতের প্রদীপে সুবাসিত শিখা জ্বালিয়েছি
স্বাগত জানাতে যেন ত্রুটি নাহি রয়

মনের মুকুরখানি স্বচ্ছ করিয়াছি
ভাবের মুকুল আমি পরাগে ভরিয়াছি
বরষার বাতাসে ভাসিবে সে হেসে' হেসে'
তোমার পরশ আশে হে গীতিময়

O lord, if you love me,
why do not you come close?
loving from a distance is nothing.
i have kept the path of your arrival
decorated with colourful paint all the time.
i have kept the mango leaves
on the top of the pot,
and kept the home decorated
with sweet fragrant flowers.
i have also lighted the flame of the ghee lamp
so that there is no lapse to welcome you.
i have kept the mirror of the mind clean,
the buds of the feelings,
i have filled with fragrance.
with the rainy breeze, that would float smilingly,
with the hope of Your touch,
o the embodiment of the song.
