Baliyá giyáchile ásibe jathákále
Sekal ájo ki elo ná
Basiyá áchi eká jale áṋkhi d́háká
Ekathá tumi ki bhávo ná

Kena je kathá dile kena bá bhule gele
Kena je ámáre ásháy rekhe dile
Áso náhi áso bhálabáso ná báso
Ebháve nirásh karo ná

Tuccha ámi ati tumi je vishál
Tava carań ghire náce mahákál
Chande chande randhre randhre
Udvela karo eśańá

বলিয়া গিয়াছিলে আসিবে যথাকালে
সেকাল আজও কি এল না
বসিয়া আছি একা জলে আঁখি ঢাকা
একথা তুমি কি ভাব না

কেন যে কথা দিলে কেন বা ভুলে' গেলে
কেন যে আমারে আশায় রেখে' দিলে
আস নাহি আস ভালবাস না বাস
এভাবে নিরাশ করো না

তুচ্ছ আমি অতি তুমি যে বিশাল
তব চরণ ঘিরে' নাচে মহাকাল
ছন্দে ছন্দে রন্ধ্রে রন্ধ্রে
উদ্বেল করো এষণা

O lord, you went telling me that
you would come at the appropriate time.
Did not that time come till today?
i am sitting alone with eyes covered with tears,
do not You think that at all?
why did you give word and why did you forget that
and did you keep me hoping?
whether You come or not, whether you love or not,
do not disappoint me like this.
i am extremely meager and you are vast.
surrounding your feet even the god of death dances.
with rhythm after rhythm in each pour of mine,
create impulse in my earnestness.
