Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nrtyer tále tále esechile
Ámár kśudra kut́irete
Varśań snáta se nishiithe
Taela chilo ná shaláká chilo ná
Diip jvaleni tamah náshite

Gopan je chilo tava jáoyá ásá
Liiláy bharite mor káṋdá hásá
Múk marmake diye jete bháśá
Prabhaiṋjane karakápáte

Cupicupi ásá cupicupi jáoyá
Álor jhilike palaker páoyá
Tárpar smrti niye giiti gáoyá
Aráti bhávaná bhule jete

O lord, you came to my small hut,
with the rhythms of dance,
on that rainbathed night.
There was no oil in the lamp nor matchstick,
i had not kindled lamp for destroying the darkness.
your coming and going was secret,
with your divine game,
you have filled my pains and pleasures.
by providing language to the dumb core of heart,
during violent storms and fall of hailstone.
coming secretly and going secretly,
getting glimpse of light on the eyelids,
and then singing the song carrying his memories,
the feeling of enemy is forgotten.
