Into the arbour of mind,
At psyche's arbor, in hive after hive,
swarms of honeybees come and go,
I know not why the bumblebees arrive and retire.
what for, i do not know.
Upon a vernal breeze, in mind's blue sky,
That flight of geese does not spread wing, oh why?

With the spring breeze,
Through sound and touch I've wanted Him;
in my mental blue sky,
Upon a sky sweetly smiling, in a fragrance bodiless.
the swan does not spread its wings.
I've wanted Him with [[:wikipedia:Pandanus utilis|screwpine's]] strong emotions...
The tree of my yearning, why is it not flower-filled?

I wanted him in sound, in touch,
Through tastes embodied I have wanted Him,
in the smiling sky and in intense fragrance.
On a [[:wikipedia:Balsam|balsam's]] sluggish wind.

I've wanted Him, both breathing out and breathing in;
I wanted him in beautified flows,
For the urge to express in words, He alone is motivation.
and in the soft sandal breeze.

I speak to him with each breath that i express.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Mananikuiṋje puiṋje puiṋje
Ali áse jáy kena jáni ná
Vasantánile cita nabhoniile
Se baláká kena d́áná mele ná

Ceyechi táháre shabde sparshe
Suhás ákáshe atanu suváse
Ceyechi táháre ketakii rabhase
Cáoyá taru kena phule bhare ná

Ceyechi táháre rúpáyita rase
Gandhatarur manda vátáse
Ceyechi táháre shváse prashváse
Dyotamánatáy sei je preśańá

At psyche's arbor, in hive after hive,
I know not why the bumblebees arrive and retire.
Upon a vernal breeze, in mind's blue sky,
That flight of geese does not spread wing, oh why?

Through sound and touch I've wanted Him;
Upon a sky sweetly smiling, in a fragrance bodiless.
I've wanted Him with screwpine's strong emotions...
The tree of my yearning, why is it not flower-filled?

Through tastes embodied I have wanted Him,
On a balsam's sluggish wind.
I've wanted Him, both breathing out and breathing in;
For the urge to express in words, He alone is motivation.
