O lord,
On which night, with sweetness in company,
on which sweetness-filled night,
You'd arrived inside the mind very deep?
did you enter the depth of my mind
'Pon a happy dream You had beamed.
and smiled in a happy dream?
In my mind there had been black ego,
Extreme poverty filling the eyes both.

In my mind,
Unfamiliar Traveler, into my 'hood You came
the darkness of ego was present
And erased the distinction between known and strange.
and both my eyes were full of misery.
The mundane with celestial You combined right away,
Underneath a smiling lamplight unawares.

O my unknown traveller,
Oh my Most Beloved, take me further please;
You came closer
The light-stream, it is quashing my stupid vanity.
and wiped away the distinction
Please remain very near, be inside of psyche;
between the known and the unknown.
On silent feet, please walk with me.

Within moments,
You merged into one
both physical and heavenly worlds,
with the smiling light of your lamp.

O my dearest one,
do no longer stay afar.
With the flow of your effulgence,
remove my darkness.

Stay nearby,
stay within my mind
and, with soft footsteps,
move along with me.

Kon se nishiithe madhurima sathe is the 1509th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kon se nishiithe madhurimá sáthe
Esechile mane gahane
Hesechile sukhasvapane
Mor mane chilo ahamiká kálo
Diinatá bhará dunayane

Ajáná pathik mor káche ele
Jáná ná jánár bhed mit́áile
Bhúloke dyuloke milále palake
Smita diipáloke acane

Ár dúre nao ogo priyatama
Álo dhárá mor náshiyáche tamah
Káche káche ácho manomájhe ácho
Sáthe calo mrdu carańe

On which night, with sweetness in company,
You'd arrived inside the mind very deep?
'Pon a happy dream You had beamed.
In my mind there had been black ego,
Extreme poverty filling the eyes both.

Unfamiliar Traveler, into my 'hood You came
And erased the distinction between known and strange.
The mundane with celestial You combined right away,
Underneath a smiling lamplight unawares.

Oh my Most Beloved, take me further please;
The light-stream, it is quashing my stupid vanity.
Please remain very near, be inside of psyche;
On silent feet, please walk with me.
