Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kuyáshár kálo muche diye
Hatáshár resh dúre sariye
Áshár pradiip háte niye
Nishiithe se esechila

Priitite áṋkhi chila bhará
Dyutite ánana álo kará
Niirave patha parikramá
Sere se dváre themechila

Mahákásh meghe mákhá chila
Cidákásh bháve bhará chila
Tár kathá bheve bheve
Nayane jal jamáchila

Júthirá se shrávańii sandhyáy
Gandha d́helechila haoyáy
Megher áŕále candramáy
Dekhe shikhiirá necechila

Se carańdhúlite karuńá chila
Mor manane máyá chila
Máyáte se dhúlira sparshe
Spandan jege ut́hechila

Wiping away the darkness of fog,
removing even traces of disappointment,
carrying the lamp of hope in hand,
He came at night.

His eyes were filled with love,
His face was illuminated with effulgence.

Silently, leaving his cyclic moving on the path,
He stopped at my door.
The sky was smeared with clouds,
the firmament of my mind was filled with ideation.

Thinking of him,
tears accumulated in my eyes.
On that evening of the rainy season,
the magnolia flowers
poured out fragrance into the air.

Looking at the moon that hid behind the clouds,
the peacock started dancing.

On the dust of his feet,
mercy prevailed,
in my mind,
delusion aroused.

Into this delusion,
by the touch of that dust,
vibrations sprang forth.
