O Lord, removing the clouds, radiating the light,
Ridding clouds, exuding light,
You have filled with diverse colors.
You've infused many colors.
You quenched the expectation, fulfilled the mind,
Meeting hopes, appeasing mind,
and merged throughout in the life.
With many lives You've got crossed.
The unidentified no longer remains unknown, O The Dear,

You are most desired and revered.
Strange, new, and unknown are You, my Darling,
O The respectable one, filled with love,
Sweetness-coated and extolled, warmly received.
You exist in each atom.
Full of love, fit to revere,
I have been searching You only outside
You've remained in every atom.
but did not see You inside like the musk-deer.

The navel of the deer that is filled with fragrance,
I have searched for You always outside;
That illusive game, liila’, You keep on performing.
Like the musk deer, I did not see inside.{{#tag:ref|In yogic scriptures and commentaries, there is an oft-told fable about a musk deer who searches the world over for the source of the intoxicating fragrance that is coming from the deer's own self. Megh sarale alo jharale is the 2856th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Megh sarále álo jharále
Rauṋe rauṋe bhare diyecho
Ásh met́ále man bharále
Práńe práńe mishe giyecho

Acená nao ár ajáná tumi priya
Madhurimá mákhá iid́ya varańiiya
Bhálabásá bhará ádarańiiya
Ańute ańute rayecho

Tomáre khuṋjechi báhire báhire
Kasturi sama dekhini antare
Je mrganábhi suváse rekhecho bhare
Se tumi liilá kare calecho

Ridding clouds, exuding light,
You've infused many colors.
Meeting hopes, appeasing mind,
With many lives You've got crossed.

Strange, new, and unknown are You, my Darling,
Sweetness-coated and extolled, warmly received.
Full of love, fit to revere,
You've remained in every atom.

I have searched for You always outside;
Like the musk deer, I did not see inside.[nb 2]
By the musk aroma You've stockpiled,
Through that You've kept making sport.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In yogic scriptures and commentaries, there is an oft-told fable about a musk deer who searches the world over for the source of the intoxicating fragrance that is coming from the deer's own self. The moral of the story is that happiness is to be found within and not without.
