O lord, how much i try to forget,
Much as I want to forget, I cannot ignore;
i am unable to forget,
Rising atop Eastern Mount,{{#tag:ref|The Eastern Mountain is an imaginary mountain behind which the sun is said to rise at dawn.|group="nb"}} Your luster flashes.
as in the eastern horizon,
Packing a house with light, the fondness-shrouded body
your effulgence shines.
Goes to Your mountain, to the downpour of sweetness.
that fills the home with illumination,

engulfing the body with affection,
What's stayed amid the mind, has stayed behind and in front;
as it rains your sweetness
It's there in wealth and penury, oh does that get forgotten?
on both inert and living beings.

What remains in the mind also stays
In the past it had been with, even still it's along;
in front and rear,
Having stayed whole life beside, close by it will go on.
and is present in affluence and in scarcity,
In a huff momentary, not looking in its direction,
can he be forgotten?
Having thought to neglect that, oh how hard was it!
he was together in the past
and is present even today,
would remain ever nearby.
due to momentary ego,
not looking towards him,
forgetting about Him,
what a pitiable condition comes.

Cai jata bhule jete nahi pari bhulite is the 2879th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Cái jata bhule jete náhi pári bhulite
Púrva udayácale tava dyuti jhalakáy
Áloke bhariyá geha mamatáy d́heke deha
Cale acale tava madhurimá varaśáy

Je rayeche mana májhe sámne piche rayeche
Bháve abháve áche táre ki go bholá jáy

Atiite je sáthe chilo ájo sauṋge áche
Ciradin páshápáshi theke jábe káche káche
Kśańiker abhimáne ná tákiye tár páne
Táháke bholár kathá bheve halo e kii dáy

Much as I want to forget, I cannot ignore;
Rising atop Eastern Mount,[nb 2] Your luster flashes.
Packing a house with light, the fondness-shrouded body
Goes to Your mountain, to the downpour of sweetness.

What's stayed amid the mind, has stayed behind and in front;
It's there in wealth and penury, oh does that get forgotten?

In the past it had been with, even still it's along;
Having stayed whole life beside, close by it will go on.
In a huff momentary, not looking in its direction,
Having thought to neglect that, oh how hard was it!
