Tái rekhecho áṋdháre phele

Saritár sama sumukhe calechi
Jata jantrańá srote bhásiyechi
Sakal kálimá vakśe niyechi
Jata chilo jamá upakúle

E saritá cale tava dviip páne
Kakhano bhát́ite kakhano ujáne
Kabhu jeneshune kabhu ánmane
Mahá milaner vedii múle

অমানিশার তমসা ভেদিয়া
দীপ হাতে তুমি কে গো এলে

সরিতার সম সুমুখে চলেছি
যত যন্ত্রণা স্রোতে ভাসিয়েছি
সকল কালিমা বক্ষে নিয়েছি
যত ছিল জমা উপকূলে

এ সরিতা চলে তব দ্বীপ পানে
কখনো ভাটিতে কখনো উজানে
কভু জেনেশুনে কভু আনমনে
মহা-মিলনের বেদী মূলে
