In my flower garden how many flowers bloomed,
In my floral garden there had bloomed
do not You know that?
So many flowers, oh don't You know it?
Due to heat of sunlight they would wither down,
They will drop neath sunlight's heat;
do You want to see that?
Do You not notice?
With hope after hope, the day has passed;

the petals of flowers have lost the colors.
Day has departed with hopes aplenty;
The fragrance and the honey are lost in vacuum.
Flower-petal colors have gone missing.
Do not You understand that?
Fragrance and nectar have flowed into nothing;
When that spring will come so that
To comprehend are You unable?
flowers and fruits again will smile with joy?

And the moonlit night would come into the fold
Those same months of spring, when they will appear,
of blue sky with loving consciousness?
They will laugh once more, fruit and bloom thrilling.
Upon a moonlit night on azure sky,
To love's cognition You'll give in.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár málaiṋce phut́echilo
Kata phul tá ki jáno ná
Átaper tápe tárá jhare jábe
Tumi ki cáhiyá dekho ná

Ásháy ásháy din cale geche
Phuler pápŕi rauṋ háriyeche
Surabhi o madhu shúnye misheche
Tumi ki bujhite páro ná

Sei madhumás kabe je ásibe
Phale phule punah pulake hásibe
Jyotsná nisháy nabhoniilimáy
Dhará debe priiti cetaná

In my floral garden there had bloomed
So many flowers, oh don't You know it?
They will drop neath sunlight's heat;
Do You not notice?

Day has departed with hopes aplenty;
Flower-petal colors have gone missing.
Fragrance and nectar have flowed into nothing;
To comprehend are You unable?

Those same months of spring, when they will appear,
They will laugh once more, fruit and bloom thrilling.
Upon a moonlit night on azure sky,
To love's cognition You'll give in.
