On this spring evening with covering of moonlight,
With this lustrous springtime twilight,
looking at your path with colourful wind,
Under moonlight's bathing,
tiredness does not come in any mind.
Upon gazing at Your path, by a breeze dyed,
i do not remember, how many eras have passed like that,
To any mind does not come fatigue.
how many springs lost in darkness crying.

wherever you have remained,
How many ages have vanished this way is not in memory;
with whatever feelings you smiled,
Crying in the dark, many springs have gone missing.
like that only you are in rhythms and songs.
Where You'd been and in what fashion You had beamed,
i do not know how many eras will pass like that,
Just like that, in cadence and song You be.
when will you come with items of love.

in the isolated corner of the mind,
I know not how many ages in like way will leave,
with resonance of consciousness,
Or when You will arrive with love's plenty.
when the sky of the distant sky
By cognition's resonance in mind's private cranny,
would merge in my life.
With my life the moon of distant sky will meet.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ei álojhará phálgunii sandhyáy
Jyotsnár avagáhane
Tava patha cáoyáy rauṋin haoyáy
Klánti áse ná kona mane

Mane nei kata jug ebháve cale geche
Kata madhumás keṋde áṋdháre háriyeche
Jetháy tumi chile jebháve hesechile
Temni ácho chande o gáne

Jáni ná kata jug ebháve cale jábe
Priitir pasará niye tumi kabe ásibe
Maner nibhrta końe cetanár anurańane
Dúr ákásher vidhu mishibe práńe

With this lustrous springtime twilight,
Under moonlight's bathing,
Upon gazing at Your path, by a breeze dyed,
To any mind does not come fatigue.

How many ages have vanished this way is not in memory;
Crying in the dark, many springs have gone missing.
Where You'd been and in what fashion You had beamed,
Just like that, in cadence and song You be.

I know not how many ages in like way will leave,
Or when You will arrive with love's plenty.
By cognition's resonance in mind's private cranny,
With my life the moon of distant sky will meet.
