Suddenly appearing from the arena of clouds,
Come asudden in cloud-realm,
which lightning had flashed for a while?
Which Lightning did sport?
He went away without telling name,
He departed, fame unspoken;
and even after coming in form, did not let grasping.
Even though come in form, the world did not accord.
I could not know acquaintance, did not even enquire.

Being surprised, I could not even think anything,
I could not discern His identity;
and all inquisitiveness came later.
About that too I made no inquiry.
Enchanting my eyes, that lighting went hiding.
Astonished, I thought not a thing;
His delusive entry and exit
Later came all questions.
stayed in the mind itself.

My eyes having excited,
That Lightning went and hid.
A magic only His, the visit,
It endured within mind's interior.

Megher deshe hathat ese is the 2677th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Megher deshe hat́hát ese
Kon se taŕit khele gelo
Nám ná bale gelo cale
Rúpe eseo dhará ná dilo

Paricay jánte párini
Jijiṋásá tákeo karini
Vismaye kichui bhávini
Jata prashna pare elo

Mor áṋkhike mátiye diye
Se taŕit gelo lukiye
Tári máyá ásá jáoyá
Maner májhe raye gelo

Come asudden in cloud-realm,
Which Lightning did sport?
He departed, fame unspoken;
Even though come in form, the world did not accord.

I could not discern His identity;
About that too I made no inquiry.
Astonished, I thought not a thing;
Later came all questions.

My eyes having excited,
That Lightning went and hid.
A magic only His, the visit,
It endured within mind's interior.
