The nightingale dances over the floral garden,
In the rose garden, [[:wikipedia:Bulbul|bulbul]] gambols;
and the cuckoo sings,
[[:wikipedia:Common hawk-cuckoo|Hawk-cuckoo]] sings its song.
so that no flower thief should come close.
Lest a bloom-bandit closeby come,
Thus they keep on calling.
So their calling they keep up.

The drowsy petals of the rose flowers
On petals struck with drowsiness,
remain absorbed in sweetness.
The rose's honey-coating does persist.
They are intoxicated with the charming and loving fragrance
With floral dust, a flower's love and devotion,
in the pollen of flowers.
Inside it a scent gives thrill.

All know that this day will not stay.
This day won't stay, everybody knows it;
The flowers will whither away silently in isolation.
The blossom falls silently into isolation.
Hence all search for only the sweet fragrance
Thus it just searches for aroma of sweetness,
of that unknown and overwhelming entity.
In that unknown place, in that separation.

Bulbuli nace gulbagicate is the 1546th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bulbuli náce gulbágicáte
Pápiyá gán gáy
Jena phulacor keu náhi áse káche
Tái se je d́eke jáy

Tandrájaŕita pápŕigulite
Goláper madhu mákhá tháke tháke
Phuler paráge ráge anuráge
Gandha mátáy táy

E din thákibe ná sabe jáne
Phul jhare jábe niirave vijane
Gandhamadhu tái khoṋje shudhu
Se vidhure ajánáy

In the rose garden, bulbul gambols;
Hawk-cuckoo sings its song.
Lest a bloom-bandit closeby come,
So their calling they keep up.

On petals struck with drowsiness,
The rose's honey-coating does persist.
With floral dust, a flower's love and devotion,
Inside it a scent gives thrill.

This day won't stay, everybody knows it;
The blossom falls silently into isolation.
Thus it just searches for aroma of sweetness,
In that unknown place, in that separation.
