Phulavane nay manovane aj is the 2600th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Phulavane nay manovane áj
Bhomrá eseche
Kalir káne kathá kaye
Madhu niyeche

Bhomrá tomár ásháy jege
Chilum base juge juge
Tomáy pete[nb 2] ájke ámár
Ásh je mit́eche

Chile ámár áshepáshe
Nei tá lekhá itiháse
Tomár tarei káṋde háse
Man gáne náce

ফুলবনে নয় মনোবনে আজ
ভোমরা এসেছে
কলির কানে কথা কয়ে
মধু নিয়েছে

ভোমরা তোমার আশায় জেগে
ছিলুম বসে' যুগে যুগে
তোমায় পেতে আজকে আমার
আশ যে মিটেছে

ছিলে আমার আশেপাশে
নেই তা লেখা ইতিহাসে
তোমার তরেই কাঁদে হাসে
মন গানে নাচে

He has come in the form of a bee,
not into the garden of flowers,
but into the garden of my mind.
From my mental blossom,
He extracts the sweet nectar.

I had been waiting for you
for ages together.
By attaining you today,
all my hopes were fullfilled.

You have always been with me,
yet it had never been
written down in history.
My mind laughs and cries,
it sings and dances for you only.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The Bengali source is split on whether this word should be pete or peye. However, the oldest source, the Sargam, consistently reads pete. Though peye also makes sense, pete offers a richer meaning and seems more consistent with the line breaks and poetic flow. Hence pete is preferred here.
