Cáṋd chilo ákáshe
Jyotsnáte dhará bháse
Maner duyár dile khule
Nilája vátáse

Puiṋjibhúta jata gláni
Man theke ke nilo t́áni
Sab háráno cittakháni
Tákálo áveshe

Mane pravesh karechile
Bháver dolá diye gele
Mańir dyuti he atithi
Bharále suváse

তুমি যখন প্রথম এলে
চাঁদ ছিলো আকাশে
জ্যোৎস্নাতে ধরা ভাসে
মনের দুয়ার দিলে খুলে'
নিলাজ বাতাসে

পুঞ্জীভূত যত গ্লানি
মন থেকে' কে নিলো টানি'
সব হারানো চিত্তখানি
তাকালো আবেশে

মনে প্রবেশ করেছিলে
ভাবের দোলা দিয়ে গেলে
মণির দ্যুতি হে অতিথি
ভরালে সুবাসে

O Lord, when You first came,
there was moon in the sky.
The earth was shining with moonlight.
You opened the doors of the mind
for entry of the breeze without hesitation.
All the accumulated agonies,
He pulled out from the mind.
The mind stuff, losing all its existence,
looked with excitement.
You entered into the mind,
and oscillated the feelings. O the Guest,
You filled that with effulgence
of the gems and fragrance.
